Trades Information
Military Preparation
The counseling department works closely with our military representatives to ensure that our students have a variety of post-secondary options. Whether it is through lunch room visits, individual appointments, class presentations, or other means, the local military representatives are often at Clay High School information students about the pros and cons of enlisting in the military. If you'd like more information about the military as a post-secondary option, please see Mr. Ramsey.
ASVAB
The ASVAB is the standardized test a recruit must take in order to be eligible to enlist in the military, as well as select a job/job training within the military. Below are a few links that offer more information on the ASVAB test.
Every school year, the CHS Counselors work with an eclectic group of donors that help make higher education less of a burden for our students. There are a multitude of scholarships that are available exclusively to our students starting in early February. Students have a few weeks to work on applications and later on in the school year, there is a special event that recognizes each scholarship's selected recipients.
