Chess Club

You may be surprised to learn that the game of chess has been scientifically proven to have "carry-over" effects on student performance in math and writing skills. Students who play chess often improve their algebra, logical, sequential and problem solving skills. As with other competitive events, chess builds character. It helps players learn to accept their decisions, remain determined, and maintain their confidence. It's the enjoyable way to sharpen the mind, refine the intellect, and probably boost your grades.
