Welcome to the Clay High School Guidance Office

Clay High School provides school counseling services for all students grades 9-12. Counseling services address academic, social, emotional and/or Career & Technology issues with students and their families. In addition, the counselors strive to assist each student in adjusting to his/her environment and to aid in solving problems. Parental involvement is encouraged, with conferences scheduled as needed.

Whether it is through lunch room visits, individual appointments, class presentations, or other means, the local military representatives are often at Clay High School information students about the pros and cons of enlisting in the military. If you'd like more information about the military as a post-secondary option, please see Mr. Ramsey.

    ASVAB

The ASVAB is the standardized test a recruit must take in order to be eligible to enlist in the military, as well as select a job/job training within the military. Below are a few links that offer more information on the ASVAB test.

    Scholarship Information

Every school year, the CHS Counselors work with an eclectic group of donors that help make higher education less of a burden for our students. There are a multitude of scholarships that are available exclusively to our students starting in early February. Students have a few weeks to work on applications and later on in the school year, there is a special event that recognizes each scholarship's selected recipients.
